Kids hockey program enrollment
Bravo is recruiting children for the hockey section. We take beginners and kids who already stand on rollers. An application is not a form into nowhere: after it we say which group we see, what to bring, and when the next Chișinău session is.
A kids hockey section at Bravo is about showing up. One trial changes nothing. The habit of coming, listening, and not dropping the stick after the first mistake does. Intake is alive: if you’re ready to attend, we slot you in.
What age can children start hockey
Age is not a pretty number on a site. It’s whether a child can listen, fall and get up, and hear a simple command. We group by age and level so a seven-year-old isn’t thrown against kids who already need more.
We’ll confirm the right group when you apply. Write the child’s age and whether they skate on rollers. We don’t advertise a fake 4–16 shelf — we call you to the session that is safe and interesting.
Hockey training for kids
Kids hockey training at Bravo is skating, stick, puck, and the game. Not a line of statues. Structure: warm-up, skill, game tasks. Rules: don’t swing the stick, don’t run over smaller kids, don’t ignore the coach.
Sessions are on rollers. That’s a deliberate start: balance and the idea of the game come faster, and the club can recruit in Chișinău without the eternal “no ice”. When ice is on the schedule, the skill isn’t from zero.
Hockey for beginners
Beginner hockey for kids at Bravo starts with confidence on rollers. Then how to hold a stick, not fear the puck, pass instead of dumping it. Beginners are not thrown into a real scrum for the parents’ show.
If the child already skated or played — we don’t park them at the front to bully newcomers. Harder jobs: receive, shoot, go to space without the puck. Beginners and “already tried it” can share a section if the coach splits drills, not people.
How training sessions work
A session should leave a child tired, not broken. We don’t copy the adult tempo and we don’t turn the hour into a party. There is pace, there are reps, there is a minute to score on an empty net and yell — that’s hockey too.
Body first: stance, falling, getting up, stopping, turning. In parallel we teach them not to stare at their own wheels. Hockey starts when a child sees a teammate. The stick comes early, without “NHL by Tuesday”.
Game tasks — small matches, relays, “take it and give it”. Character shows: who hides, who shoves, who throws the stick. The coach doesn’t preach to the stands. He stops the drill and sets another job. Braver and sharper comes from reps, not slogans.
Bravo coaches
The kids section is run by Bravo coaches. They watch skill and safety, and they don’t raise only “convenient” children who obey. Hockey needs a voice, a decision, and losing without a meltdown. That is taught too — calmly, on the floor.

Schedule and training location
Bravo kids hockey is in Chișinău at RollerZone (Strada Ghioceilor 1, Moldexpo). Days depend on the group. After you apply we send landmark and time of the first session.
If you’re coming from another part of Chișinău — say from where. We’ll tell you the easier way in. If a session moves, parents hear it before they’re already standing at the door.

What a child needs for practice
To start: rollers that fit, helmet, knee/elbow/wrist pads, a stick. Water. Clothes you can fall in. For the first session, helmet and rollers beat a perfect shop bundle.
If you have nothing — write that. We’ll give a minimum list so you don’t overbuy. Gear grows as the child stays in the section, not on the day you only thought about hockey.
Book a trial session for your child
A trial is coming, watching the coach, and seeing if the child lights up. Name, age, phone, a line about rollers. We’ll write where and when. Then it’s simple: come play.
