Hockey in Chișinău
Hockey in Chișinău was a closed circle for a long time: few rinks, few teams, no obvious way in. Bravo is gathering adults who care. You can show up without connections and without perfect skating — and in a few weeks play in a line instead of hiding in the corner.
The main format now is rollers. That’s how we keep a group, keep a schedule, and teach skating, stick, and the game. Ice photos on the site are our team and our matches; recruitment today is for roller practices in Chișinău. The path is the same: hockey, character, Bravo.
Join the Bravo hockey team
Recruitment is open. No rank required, no perfect bio. Show up, hold the group’s pace, and be someone people want on their line. If you’ve played — you’ll slot in faster. If you haven’t — you’ll get the basics and you won’t be dead weight.
After you apply we get in touch, tell you the next practice and what to bring. First sessions are about the group and how we work. If it fits — you stay. No “pay a year up front” theatre: we need people who want to play hockey.
Hockey for beginners
Adult beginner hockey at Bravo is not a shame bench. First: balance and braking on rollers. Then stick, carrying, shooting, passing. Game bits appear early, in a dose that teaches instead of breaking you. Coaches look for the hole in skating, not a reason to write you off.
If you played as a kid and quit — that’s a start too, just shorter. The body remembers something else; the head still knows hockey. We don’t compare you to who you were at 16. We set a job for this practice and this month.
How training sessions work
An adult session is work, not laps to a playlist. Warm-up, skills block, then game. Short explanations in between: why this drill, where to look. The pace is high and alive — we don’t keep people in endless shuttles with no puck.
Skating is the base of hockey; rollers make that obvious. Stance, edges, crossovers, stopping, first step. In parallel — stick: keep the puck, pass in motion, close the opponent’s blade. On paper it sounds dry. On the floor it’s what turns chaos into a game.
Small games, 2-on-1s, 3-on-2s, shots in place and in motion. Character shows up here: who backchecks, who gets open, who yells instead of passing. We don’t romanticize it and we don’t crush it. We play, then we say why the shift died. Hockey teaches composure faster than any speech.
Bravo coaches
The adult section is run by Bravo coaches. They set skating and the game, keep the pace, and don’t turn practice into a market. New — they’ll break it down. Played before — they won’t feed you fake “basics”.

Higher education: Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, coaching (hockey). Coach of roller hockey and team sports.
Founder of Bravo. He ran the team for many years: set the game, took it to tournaments, and didn’t let the roster drift when the season got hard. With him the club didn’t only train — it played, won, and travelled to places where you have to prove yourself. Bravo in Chișinău started with his work.

Hockey equipment
To start on rollers: roller skates, helmet, pads (knees, elbows, wrists), stick and gloves. For the first session come with what you have — helmet and stable skates matter most. A full kit is not the price of walking in.
If you have nothing — say so in the form. We’ll tell you what to buy first so you don’t burn money in month one. Club kit is identity, not a ticket: play first, crests later.

Yes. Bravo’s adult section has room for beginners. First sessions are skating, stick, and simple game tasks — you don’t need to “already know everything”.
